Our Story
I have always been interested in products made from other products that are creatively crafted for a different use or purpose. Perhaps my attraction was tied to an appreciation and fascination for a highly creative vision, or simply the resourcefulness of the individual to reinvent an old product into a new product.
However, I never really thought of it as recycling until seeing some unique reinvented products while shopping that stated they were made from recycled materials. My immediate impression was, this is really cool, and it got me thinking. I then realized my original interest also included a desire to be environmentally friendly.
I was hooked and decided to open an online eco-friendly gift shop.
As for our name
We spent countless hours creating names and many more hours scouring the Internet trying to secure a "Green" name. What a nightmare! One day while giving my daughters a snack it hit me. My daughters ask for a snack and typically it is a fruit. This time it was a pear. Pears are green, and my girls comment how juicy the pears are and that was it!
